Start a chapter

What a new chapter needs.

Do three of these four, and become an official student organization at your school.

  1. Form a board

A 3 to 5 person executive board, such as a President, Chief of Staff, and Director of Partnerships.

  2. Find a community partner

A shelter, soup kitchen, or other group that serves people experiencing homelessness in your city.

  3. Raise $250

We share a guide to school grants and first fundraisers.

  4. Volunteer together

Your board volunteers once with a potential partner.

What national gives your chapter

Legal and tax help, insurance, accounting, the TBP name, training and fundraising materials, monthly check-ins, and funding to cover what your chapter cannot raise.
